ROALD DAHL’S CHILDHOOD

Roald Dahl was born in Wales. His parents were Norwegian. Roald’s father Harold passed away when Roald was only four so you can imagine it was a tough upbringing. Roald’s lost was very emotional it became even worse three weeks later when his eldest sister passed away from appendicitis. One year later Roald started school. Roald was bullied and appalled that the senior boys were allowed to literally wound younger boys!
Roald always got punished severely by the matron of the dormitories and by the masters of the school.
